Projects

Whoisjasdeep

Website

Leveraging AWS technologies for hosting this website and utilizing an existing formatted web page I quickly created Whoisjasdeep. Some of the technologies used: Route 53, Amazon S3, Certificate Manager, and CloudFront for the distribution tool to that utilize Certificate Manager, making the site secure.

House of India

Website

An online presence was required for an Indian restaurant. This was my first project combining design and coding. There were several iterations of this product while using a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) approach. I had made this keeping in mind their main objective of having a menu that was simple to access.

What to Eat

Android App

With this Android application, I wanted to practice Android development. I was able to do this by making my own app that will guide my food selection. We frequently can't decide on a restaurant for lunch with friends or coworkers. I therefore created an Android app that allows users to enter a list of restaurants, and the app will choose one at random. You can view the app here. The app's privacy statement can be viewed here.

Hackathons

Liberty Mutual Ignite

Participant 2022

My team and I wanted to showcase our Trials API at Liberty's Ignite 2022. This would be done to introduce new clients to our claims process and give them the opportunity to try out our services before making a purchase. My attention was focused on the project's Angular development of the UI and the presentation to the judges.

Liberty Internal Organization Hackathon

Participant 2021

My group and I developed a trial API service for brand-new clients to use as a claims process demonstration during this internal organization hackathon. This would be done in order to onboard new clients to our platform and give them the opportunity to try out our services before signing contracts. My involvement in this project was primarily on the UI side, using Angular to create our interface. The judges liked our idea, and we won this hackathon.

Liberty Mutual Ignite

Participant 2020

My team and I wanted to make a page where we could view all of a team's assets for Ignite 2020. Servers and other operational items that the team owns would be considered assets. The intention was to identify areas where the business could cut costs and turn off these unused resources. Two developers—including myself—and four business people made up the team. My main focus was on designing a user interface (UI) that would complement Liberty Mutual's color scheme and creating data mockups for our business-focused teammates to present to the judges.

University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (IOL)

Mentor 2019

The University of New Hampshire hosted this hackathon. I volunteered, along with a few Liberty Mutual employees, to mentor students during their hackathon. We would stroll around and assist with questions or offer our opinion on their designs or projects. Even though we did not code, it was nice to be able to serve as a resource for those students.

Liberty Mutual Ignite

Participant 2019

Ignite is Liberty's significant internal hackathon. My first actual hackathon, and it was incredible. The task assigned to my group and I was to develop an internal Liberty Mutual employee-only version of Uber-style ride-sharing services. I was responsible for working on the web app's database section so that I could keep track of users' scheduled rides. The fact that there were so many teams competing and that company management encouraged everyone to take part was fantastic.

Fusion Alliance virtual Hackathon

Participant 2018

This was my first ever online hackathon. I gained a lot of knowledge from the hackathon that Liberty Mutual and Fusion Alliance put on. Include time management, sharing and remote collaboration of code, and new front-end technologies.
